Green Schools!

On Wednesday 25th May, members of the Green schools committee attended a ceremony in the Helix to collect our second Green Schools Flag.

Ms. Victory, Ms. Dunne, Emma Sweeney from 6th class and Morgan Boyle From 3rd class represented the school on this special occasion.

The award ceremony was very enjoyable with talks from Fingal County Council and a Green Schools Irish water ambassador.

We learned a lot about Green Schools events and the work the programme does around the country. Emma and Morgan proudly accepted our Green Schools Flag on stage.

Congratulations to all the Green schools committee on their hard work over the past two years to achieve this flag and also a huge thank you to all pupils and staff and their commitment to the programme. We look forward to the flag raising ceremony.

Friday 13th May: As part of the Green Schools Programme we will have a Green Schools Action Day & a Clothes Recycling Collection on Friday - bags and information were sent home before the May break so if you have unwanted clothes etc please bring the bags to the school hall door on this Friday 13th May for collection by NCBI. The school will get funding based on the number of bags collected for recycling. Bags should not be filled  too heavy – use an extra bag if needed.

Well done to the boys and girls in Room 24 who were recently awarded the Green Schools energy saving class of the month trophy for January.
