Scoil Thomáis continues it's implementation of the Anti-Bullying programme again this school year in accordance with the Department of Education Guidelines. This year, for classes 1st - 6th, we will be teaching a set of awareness raising lessons over the school year as part of a special Anti-Bullying initiative which is being co-funded by Fingal County Council.
As part of the implementation of the Anti-Bullying programme in the school, parents/guardians are invited to a Parent Information Evening which will focus on Parents Positive Role in Potential Bullying Situations which will be held in Scoil Thomáis on Tuesday evening 3rd October at 7.30pm.
The meeting will last for approx 1 hour and will be addressed by anti-bullying expert Monica Monaghan who developed this programme for schools. This workshop focusses on the understanding of bullying behaviour from a parent's perspective and will give parents strategies to deal with any bullying problems without anger or blameful reaction.
All parents are strongly advised to attend this important meeting and to support the school in implementing this very worthwhile programme in the school.
