FAO: Parents of Scoil Thomáis

Dear Parents: this is an update on school matters for the coming week from Ms McGarry, Principal.

First of all thank you to you all for your co-operation with the restricted gate and classroom entry access over these few days as we all get over the extreme snow event. Special thanks to our school caretakers Mick & Eamon for their work to clear snow etc and to those parents who helped with clearing footpaths last Sunday afternoon. We are all glad to be getting back to normal routines again!

The Dept of Education has confirmed that the Inservice Day for Primary Language Curriculum must go ahead as scheduled on this Thursday 8th March and all teachers in Scoil Thomáis must attend this training - therefore there will be no classes for pupils on Thursday 8th March. School as usual on Friday 9th March at 9am.

The Service of Light for Confirmation pupils will be on Thursday 8th March at 7.30pm in the Church. All Confirmation pupils should be in the Church by 7.20pm so that the ceremony can start on time The School Choir will sing at the ceremony.

The planned early closing at 12 noon next Tuesday 13th March for Child Protection Training has been CANCELLED to allow for catch up on tuition time - therefore there will be a full school day on Tuesday 13th March.
