Christmas Raffle Prize Draw 2020

There was great excitement around Scoil Thomáis this morning as the classes watched the results of our Christmas Raffle Draw live across Zoom.

Well done to all of the prize winners and a big massive THANK YOU to everyone who supported the draw by buying and selling tickets. The funds raised will go to helping us build a soft surface play area in the new year. We really appreciate your support and are very grateful to you all for helping the school to fundraise, particularly at this time of year when there are a lot of expenses incurred by families. Míle buíochas!

As part of the school’s SPHE curriculum Relationship & Sexuality Education is taught to the pupils from Infants to 6th Class at age appropriate level in accordance with Scoil Thomais RSE policy. The policy outlines why RSE is taught in school as well as clarifying the specific content and appropriate language to be taught at each class level. The full text of the RSE policy is available on the school website under About Us/Policies.

During the week 11th – 15th January 2021 pupils from Senior Infants to 6th Class will be taught a specific Relationships and Sexuality (RSE) lesson as part of the Social Personal and Health Education (SPHE) curriculum. This lesson was on the curriculum for 2019/20 to be taught in May 2020 but due to the Covid-19 school closure, this lesson could not be taught to the pupils by teacher.  The planned RSE lesson will now be taught in January 2021 to all relevant pupils by their class teacher.
