Congratulations to all of our pupils who participated in the Fingal Athletics meeting in Porterstown yesterday, March 20th. A special well done to our 5th class pupil who achieved 1st place in his race!

Thank you to our teachers who have been working during lunchtimes to train the boys and girls.

Easter Bake Sale

Scoil Thomáis Parents’ Association will hold an EASTER BAKE SALE in the school hall on the morning of Friday 23rd March from 9.15am until 11.30am.

Funds raised from the Sale will fund the purchase of sports gear and equipment. Donations of breads, cakes, buns etc can be left into the school hall from 8.50am on the morning of the BAKE SALE.

The Parents’ Association will be seeking parent volunteers to help on the morning. If you can help, please contact This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. Each child brings in €2 and a lunchbox to bring home lovely bakes to eat at home

The PA is running a 'Guess the contents of the Jar' competition for adults coming to the Bake Sale on Friday 23rd March. Funds raised will go towards the Special Olympics Ireland Games, to be held in Abbotstown in June 2018.  A representative of Special Olympics will visit Scoil Thomáis in May to talk to pupils.

Dear Parents: this is an update on school matters for the coming week from Ms McGarry, Principal.

First of all thank you to you all for your co-operation with the restricted gate and classroom entry access over these few days as we all get over the extreme snow event. Special thanks to our school caretakers Mick & Eamon for their work to clear snow etc and to those parents who helped with clearing footpaths last Sunday afternoon. We are all glad to be getting back to normal routines again!

The Dept of Education has confirmed that the Inservice Day for Primary Language Curriculum must go ahead as scheduled on this Thursday 8th March and all teachers in Scoil Thomáis must attend this training - therefore there will be no classes for pupils on Thursday 8th March. School as usual on Friday 9th March at 9am.

The Service of Light for Confirmation pupils will be on Thursday 8th March at 7.30pm in the Church. All Confirmation pupils should be in the Church by 7.20pm so that the ceremony can start on time The School Choir will sing at the ceremony. 

The planned early closing at 12 noon next Tuesday 13th March for Child Protection Training has been CANCELLED to allow for catch up on tuition time - therefore there will be a full school day on Tuesday 13th March.
