St Patrick's Day in 6A

The children in Room 6A have really enjoyed practicing their Irish Dancing and doing St Patrick’s Day themed learning activities.

Hoppy Leap Year from everyone in Room 6!

January in Room 7

Room 7 were very busy in January learning all about The Supermarket through play. We had great fun shopping in the roleplay area and we enjoyed building supermarkets using Lego. We learned how to play ‘The Shopping List’ game and painted fruit bowls at our art station. We had a fruit tasting day, everyone tried all of the fruits and recorded which ones they liked. We did lots of work practising making and writing our names. We liked building some of the new jigsaw puzzles. We have started learning our letter sounds and how to blend them together to read words. We are doing great work learning our sight words and we love finding them in our picture books during story time.

Grandparents Day in Room 7

As part of Catholic Schools Week, Room 7 celebrated Grandparents Day on Friday 26th of January.

Thank you to all of the Grandparents who came to visit our classroom.

November in Room 7

Room 7 were very busy in November. Our play theme for the month was ‘The Doctor’s Surgery’. We had fun in our role play area, played doctor’s Bingo, built a surgery using Lego and had fun with playdoh. We created a human body using different materials and paint. We really enjoyed listening to the story ‘A Bad Case of the Stripes’ and we created our own stripes during playtime. 4th class joined us for one of our play sessions, we look forward to their visits. We enjoyed learning how to use Beebots. We worked on our fine motor skills with lots of playdoh work, cutting and playing with pegs and jigsaws. We enjoyed using different instruments during our music lessons. We also started to learn some songs from our Christmas play. Room 7 go to our playground everyday to do our gross motor exercises for our outdoor movement break. We visit the playground every Friday and have great fun using all of the equipment.
