Science in Room 4

Room 4 are learning all about their senses in Science. We took part in experiments like pin tail on the donkey, what’s that sound, what’s that smell and what’s that taste to test our five sense. We had so much fun!

Pumpkins in Room 3!

We had a wonderful time carving these Autumn pumpkins in Room 3! First we used cubes to measure how tall our pumpkins were, then we wrote numbers on our pumpkins and played maths games using the terms ‘before’, ‘after’ and ‘in-between’. We then drew faces on our pumpkins using 2d shapes. Finally, we filled zip-lock bags with the insides of the pumpkins and practiced writing our numbers in the gooey pulp and seeds!

 

Our News in Room 4

During our morning news, our classmate brought in a signed hockey stick by Ali Meeke. Ali was is a member of the Irish field hockey team that came second in the world cup this summer.

Chalk in Room 4

Room Four went outside to practice our sight words. We each got a piece pf jumbo chalk to write the words on the ground. The sun was shining and we had a lot of fun!

Autumn Walk

This month we went on an Autumn walk around the school. We had a checklist of items to look for. We collected leaves, red berries, sticks, buttercups and daisies. We then used these items to paint autumn pictures.
