Students of the Month in Room 17
Room 27 - Bee Workshop
2nd class were busy little bees recently when Mark Nolan from Biodiversity Ireland visited. The children enjoyed a fantastic 'Pollinator Project' workshop learning about pollinators in Ireland, bee hives and how to help keep our pollinators protected. Children found lots of bees in our school environment and we are going to make a great effort to continue to help bees, butterflies, moths and hoverflies. One of our classmates even became our beekeeper!
Writing Project in Room 24
Today, our class went to visit Ms. Scally’s Junior Infant class and we read stories that we wrote for them. We spent several weeks writing these stories. When we had finished our final drafts, we illustrated and decorated our books and they all turned out really well. The Junior Infants really enjoyed listening to our stories and we enjoyed the experience!
